The New World Series

When the Norwegian King decided to take power there were men who objected to the new hierarchy. This series tells their story. It chronicles the exploration undertaken by men who were quite literally sailing into the unknown. They sail, first to the Faeroes and then to Iceland before embarking on their most impressive achievement: the discovery of North America. As they sail, first to Newfoundland and Breton before settling in Maine, we see their first encounters with the indigenous people, the Skraelings. When disaster strikes the handful of survivors sail south to settle on the Shenandoah, vanishing into folklore.
