The Lucky Jack American Civil War Series

An English aristocrat kills the parents of an Irish youth and his sister. They run away but become separated. He becomes a sailor on a slaver and she is lost to her brother. When the south rebels against the north Jack joins a band of irregulars who fight the union through to the battle of Gettysburg.
