Conquest is book two in the series and, like Hastings, tells of the Conquest of England from a Norman viewpoint.
This is the story of young fitz Malet who achieved glory at Hastings and is rewarded with a northern manor. Set against the backdrop of the rebellion in the north, the tale follows the trials and tribulations of the young Norman as he tries to meld Norman and Saxon to fight those who oppose the Conqueror.
